Our forties and fifties are a glorious time of our life! Let’s face it ladies, we’re wiser to life! We can choose not to play in the bullshit and decide who we want to play with. We’ve paid our dues. And while our bodies deliver all kinds of changing phenomena, I assure you, what is blossoming for you is truly remarkable!
I love the song from the Sound of Music – My Favorite Things. “Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,” brings a smile to my lips, as I find myself attempting to sing in tune – which for anyone who knows me well, knows that I don’t… really. Of course my favorite verse is “Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels,” given my love for horses and wonderful food.” As 2010 winds down, it’s a perfect time to consider your Favorite Things.
Now I have to laugh, thinking about just how quickly the horses showed me just what I needed to know about the query I took to them. The experience was so fresh and vivid, and so full of heart, it made the insights impossible to ignore, or forget.
Horses ARE intuitive, and connecting with Kami’s horses was very healing for me. Days after I left, I started reorganizing my thoughts and goals for the first time in my life. I am now looking at my future with a whole new outlook.
