I invite you to take a bit of time today to quietly ponder in the message of this card. Consider all that you’d like to manifest. Get really clear about the vision. As this vision finds clarity, write down your aspirations that will engine this vision. Here are a few tips for writing aspirations!
Now is a perfect time to start shaping your next chapter. It might be that you’ve worked hard in a career that’s provided you with many blessings, although you’re starting to see glimpses of a new stage in life. Perhaps, life delivered unexpected changes that shook your world. Or perhaps you just know you need to do something different, but you’re not certain what that might be.
The study of life paths has become my passion. And the exploration of this passion is timely. Every day, I meet new people who are pondering their next chapter. They have worked hard their whole life, and are ready for something new. But they’re not certain what that might be. According to a recent Right Management Study, 84% of people say they’re going to look for new jobs this year (and only 5% say they are definitely going to remain in their current position). These numbers are staggering to me – and only support what I inherently knew. People are ready to make a change.

With the New Year’s weekend under our belt, I’m certain many of you have pondered upon New Year’s resolutions. This tradition of taking stock of our paths and setting goals at the start of each year is often that milestone that launches new direction into action. New career paths, new life:balance goals, new health programs – we tell ourselves that this is the year.
I love the song from the Sound of Music – My Favorite Things. “Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,” brings a smile to my lips, as I find myself attempting to sing in tune – which for anyone who knows me well, knows that I don’t… really. Of course my favorite verse is “Cream colored ponies and crisp apple streudels,” given my love for horses and wonderful food.” As 2010 winds down, it’s a perfect time to consider your Favorite Things.
