For the past few years, I’ve felt a rising energy of the feminine energy – YIN – among men and women. I’m talking about the compassionate side of human nature, moving from a flowing and receiving energy vs a driving, forceful energy. A paradigm that is grounded in desire, delight, passion. It’s a graceful, heart-based, Keep Reading…
It seems I’ve been in building mode a lot this summer – in all aspects of my life. My husband and I started building a small deck on the back side of our house. Now we’re not generally the deck-building-type, so we decided to take it weekend-by-weekend, in an unrushed methodical step-by-step approach, watching You Keep Reading…
I am a healer. For years, I have rejected the label of healer. It seemed a little too woo-woo for this former corporate gal. A little too big of a claim. Too edgy, too wishy-washy, too far out there. The ironic thing is that I’ve had three separate mentors ask me to claim my healing Keep Reading…
Three simple words. I hear them over and over again. From wildly successful women deep into their career, in the realm of what is considered from the outside, the most successful time of her life. And she says to me, “I feel lost.”
Our forties and fifties are a glorious time of our life! Let’s face it ladies, we’re wiser to life! We can choose not to play in the bullshit and decide who we want to play with. We’ve paid our dues. This morning I awoke to freshly cut rows of grass hay in the mountain field next to my house. As I sat in the peacefulness of the morning, childhood memories flooded my body – the warm smells of summer, the playful spirit of my soul dancing in the tall grass under the shade of the stately cottonwood tree that bordered the nearby hay field on the plains of Colorado.

Today I’m declaring a Yes-to-Me Day! As a coach, I know how important it is that I ‘put on my own oxygen mask first.’ If I don’t take care of me – from a heart, soul and body perspective – I won’t show up whole for my clients’ needs.
As I reflect in gratitude on the whole week, I am thankful for the ways I have been able weave Yes-to-Me into the flow of my life.
Ah, Spring has arrived! It’s my favorite time of the year when the hyacinth and tulips begin to sprout from the barely warmed ground, in-between the snows and rains! I love the rebirth and possibilities that spring forth in my garden.
What is sprouting in your playground of your life this Spring? Are you listening to your heart and intuition? How are you saying “Yes to YOU?” On this Spring Equinox, take a few moments today to get out in nature for a walk to listen to your inner voice.
It’s a peaceful summer morning in the coolness of my barn. The horses are quietly enjoying their morning breakfast. It is here that I find my zen mind – my zen body – the place where all deep awareness is born and lives. There’s a small single baby barn swallow in the rafters awaiting her momma’s return with her baby bird breakfast of worms and seeds. As I sweep the corners of the stall where she was born, she bravely pokes her head above the nestline, driven by her growing courage and curiosity in who I am. I whisper a quiet, “Good morning little one – I’ve been wondering when I would get to meet you.”
