Appreciative Inquiry is the grounding principle for Syzygy™ Consulting and Coaching.   Appreciative Inquiry focuses on your strengths and values, and provides a powerful pathway to visualize your future.  Used as an organizational change system across companies around the world such as British Airways, McDonalds, HP and the United States Navy, Appreciative Inquiry recognizes the best in people and gives every person a voice in the process.  Appreciative Inquiry can be applied to a broad base of transformation goals, such as creating aligned teams, better strategies, common cultures, better customer relationships or helping individuals in transition lay the groundwork for defining their own future.

The four phases of Appreciative Inquiry are:  Discovery, Dream, Design and Destiny.  The methodology uses questions and inquiry grounded in the positive, with participants sharing stories and experiences.  Starting in the Discover phase, you will uncover the “the best of what is,” uncovering passions, strengths, values and where things have been at their best.  It is where the study of “what works” begins.  This phase also helps identify the “essence” of the organization or individual.  The Dream Phase will guide you through “what might be,” bringing forward new ideas and innovations.  The Design Process will help you determine what needs to happen in order for you to achieve your dream and will guide you to the Destiny.
