The four phases of Appreciative Inquiry are: Discovery, Dream, Design and Destiny. The methodology uses questions and inquiry grounded in the positive, with participants sharing stories and experiences. Starting in the Discover phase, you will uncover the “the best of what is,” uncovering passions, strengths, values and where things have been at their best. It is where the study of “what works” begins. This phase also helps identify the “essence” of you. The Dream Phase will guide you through “what might be,” bringing forward new ideas and innovations. The Design Process will help you determine what needs to happen in order for you to achieve your dream and will guide you to the Destiny.
